American Inn Downey

It was fairly late, last minute booking and the sheets were dirty and the room smelled like cigarettes. The room was small and overall sort of meet what I was looking for. Stains on the under sheet, small room and smell of cigarettes really was a turn away but overall it was a 8/10.

I was very skeptical of booking a room here because the pictures looked too good to be true for the price I paid. I booked on Christmas day and paid $97 which was a great deal. When I went to my room it was small but very clean. The cleaning lady's they hire are amazing at their job because there was no mold or grout in the restrooms or tub and the floors looked very shiny. Even the showerhead was shiny and had no build up whatsoever. The TV let me hook up my boyfriends playstation with no problem. The A/C worked too good because I was cold after 4 minutes of it being on. The rooms seem to be pretty sound proof and the shopping center is walking distance. Checking is was also a breeze and the deposit is only $50 which they do give back after checking for no damage. The beds are super comfortable and overall I had a peaceful stay here. No one entered my room in the morning for housekeeping which I really liked because they value privacy here.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean.

Quiet,clean, very spacious. Close to Disneyland.
